Project Brief
Design Details and philosophy : The core opacity town of the Barasat has become congested it’s also the town centre and district headquarter of North 24 Parganas. The brief was to resurrect the derelict water body to create an urban space for all with all other amenities. The park shall be meant for children, young adults, and the aged population. Apart from the immediate capture population, the entire city of Barasat lacks the presence of a designed urban space which is activated programmatically and has carefully designed urban park spaces.
Cultural facilities, food kiosks, amphitheatre, walking and jogging tracks and children`s play area are the salient features of the program catering to the entire gamut of users. Introducing naturally vegetated stepped seating absorbs heat and allow for more comfortable seating.
